When Allison and Jim Fleming talk about giving, their granddaughter Megan is part of the conversation.
"We want Megan to grow up in a world where everyone has value and opportunities," Allison said.
Allison and Jim both consider their parents as role models who taught them the importance of not only donating money but also donating their time and talents.
"Volunteerism was always a priority, even though our parents were busy. They had a real sense of commitment to their community and the causes with which they were involved," Jim said.
The Flemings believe in the importance of sharing a spirit of service and giving with their children and grandchildren and started a donor advised fund at the Community Foundation to continue that tradition.
"In making things better for others, the world is also a better place for Megan," Allison said.
