New Series: Strategizing through a Long-Term Crisis

During a long-term crisis, nonprofit organizations must be able to see different "altitudes ," (or perspectives) and simultaneously plan for the short, medium, and long terms. As we transition into our fourth month of COVID-19 response in a climate of increased urgency around racial justice, organizations are once again challenged to merge rapid-responses with strategic action to address needs in our community. The balance of action and planning in the context of constant change can seem daunting but is necessary.

As we seek to listen, learn and act to make Greater Des Moines a community where all are welcomed; the Community Foundation is convening a series called Conversations that Count. These virtual events will provide an opportunity to engage with members of our community who work tirelessly advocating for equity and inclusion to be the strongest threads that weave our community together. Each conversation will include action items for each of us to make this a time that counts. Please join us.
