Giving Circles at the Community Foundation provide a unique model for donors to leverage gifts and increase community impact with their charitable dollars. We invite you to join in giving back.
Community Foundation Leadership Circle members have created a substantial endowment that supports projects or causes that provide long-term community impact and address the most critical needs in Greater Des Moines. Leadership Circle donors pledge $2 million through initial contributions and deferred gifts.
Leadership Circle members include: Sunnie Richer & Roger Brooks, Suzie Glazer Burt, Patty & Jim Cownie, Richard L. Deming, M.D., Michele & Barry Griswell, Charlotte & Fred S. Hubbell, Sharon S. & Kyle J. Krause, Jill & Mark Oman and Emily & Fred Weitz.
Maddie's Circle honors the life and legacy of beloved community leader Maddie Levitt. Circle members donate $1,000 per year for two years. All gifts are matched by the Maddie's Circle Fund held at the Community Foundation.

The Power of We Giving Circle
The Power of We is a giving circle for African-American women established by Teree Caldwell-Johnson, CEO of Oakridge Neighborhood Services. The circle is tapping into the great opportunity it has to identify women who want to pool their time, talent and treasure. Creating a sustainable movement will allow the group to have impact now and in the future.
