Support Repurpose Rising in Securing a Retail Space for Creative Reuse!

We invite you to join us in making a lasting impact by helping us raise the funds necessary to secure a retail space for Partial Arts, our creative reuse thrift store.

Repurpose Rising is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to promoting creative reuse, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment by repurposing donated art and craft supplies. As Iowa's only creative reuse nonprofit, we envision a world where waste is transformed into art, fostering both sustainability and artistic expression.

Partial Arts, our first initiative, will accept donations of arts and craft materials, rescuing them from landfills or forgotten corners of basements and garages. We will offer these materials at thrift prices, making art supplies affordable and accessible to all.

The establishment of Partial Arts will be a cornerstone in amplifying our mission. By providing affordable art supplies and hosting workshops that teach creative reuse, we empower individuals to adopt sustainable practices in their creative endeavors. This effort not only reduces waste but also democratizes access to art, allowing creativity to flourish across our community.

Our community programs, including free craft kits for dwelling-bound disabled artists and various reuse initiatives, directly serve those in need. These programs empower individuals by providing the resources and support necessary to express themselves creatively and sustainably. Moreover, our educational workshops and community art projects raise awareness about the importance of a circular economy, inspiring others to join our cause.

Repurpose Rising is founded and led by a passionate team of women, including disabled and LGBTQIA+ individuals. We are deeply committed to fostering a circular economy that benefits everyone.

We have already received generous donations of display furniture from local businesses, enough to furnish a 5,000 sq ft space. However, these items currently sit in storage, incurring costs that could be better allocated towards securing our retail space.

Your donation will directly support the acquisition of a space for Partial Arts, helping us to open Iowa's ONLY nonprofit creative reuse store and the MOST affordable craft store in the region.
