Project Description

Through the end of the year, all new and increased gifts supporting Iowa children and families will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $75,000. Your donations will allow LSI to continue our work until every Iowa child has a safe, healthy home; until every individual seeking greater mental well-being has access to quality therapy; until every immigrant or refugee neighbor feels welcome in their new home; and until ever Iowan with a disability has the independence they need to thrive.

In central Iowa, LSI lives out our passion to provide compassionate care by providing:
• in-home visitation to parents of children up to age 5 to strengthen the connection between kids and parents, prepare kids for school and reduce the incidence of child abuse;
• individual therapy services to adults, children and families;
• in-school therapy services for refugee children;
• therapy for those in juvenile detention;
• English and citizenship classes;
• job placement and business programs including Global Greens and Childcare Business Development;
• social interaction opportunities for senior refugees;
• hourly and respite care for individuals living with disabilities or brain injuries;
• host homes programs to allow individuals to welcome someone with a disability to live in their home.
