Project Description

Fuel Afterschool Play is part of Can Play’s Victory Program, providing free, high-quality after-school recreation programs for kids in Des Moines Public Schools and West Des Moines Public Schools.

We provide after school programs so kids step into a safe, structured, and uplifting environment where they can move, play, learn, and belong. Our team leads inclusive activities that build confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits.

But Victory is more than play. It’s fuel. After each program, kids receive healthy meals and snacks, ensuring they have the energy and nutrition they need during those critical after-school hours. For many participants, this is the most reliable meal of their day.

This holiday season, your support helps us reach more kids who face financial barriers—giving them a place to go, a team to join, and a community to count on.
