Project Description
Help someone find not just a job—but purpose.
Everyone wants work that feels stable, meaningful, and worth showing up for. Cultivating Careers helps people get there. It’s Project Iowa’s signature workforce development program, designed to guide participants through a journey of self-discovery, skill-building, and support that leads to lasting employment.
During the program participants gain more than job readiness—they gain confidence, direction, and a community that believes in them. With the help of a dedicated job coach and wrap-around services like transportation, childcare, and technology assistance, each person builds a plan tailored to their goals and life circumstances.
For many, Cultivating Careers is the turning point—the moment when uncertainty gives way to purpose and stability. When individuals succeed, entire families and communities thrive. A $2,500 sponsorship provides one person the opportunity to participate in Cultivating Careers—from training and coaching to the resources that help remove barriers to success.
Our goal is to serve over 100 individuals this year through Cultivating Careers. A total of $250,000 will allow us to make that vision possible and stay focused on what matters most—serving people. Your investment turns the dream of meaningful work into reality—for one person, and for the community they strengthen.
