Project Description
For 30 years, the Caring Hands Outreach Center has been a beacon of hope, providing essential social services to families in eastern Polk County. Today, as the demand for food, clothing, and financial assistance has surged, we find ourselves at a crucial juncture. To meet these increasing needs, we are launching a $1 million capital campaign to ensure no neighbor is left behind.
Join Us in Building a Stronger Community
Why Now?
As the primary social service provider in our region, we see firsthand the struggles families face—parents working multiple jobs but still unable to afford food, seniors choosing between medication and utilities, and children going to bed hungry. While our programs have grown, our facilities, resources, and funding must also expand to keep pace.
With your support, we will:
Expand and enhance our food pantry and social services programs
Develop sustainable solutions to combat poverty and food insecurity
Increase our ability to serve thousands of families each year
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate 30 years of service, we are deeply grateful to our partner churches, community allies, volunteers, and donors. Together, we’ve built a foundation of compassion and support. But our work is far from done. We continue to evolve, expanding our services to meet the changing needs of our community, guided always by the values of love, dignity, and respect.
Together, we can continue to make a difference and ensure that no one in our community is left behind.
