Project Description

The Language Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding world language learning for kids and adults. Language and culture education can increase confidence, improve cognition and memory, and most importantly, expand understanding and acceptance. We currently only offer Spanish classes, but our goal is to offer many more language options.

We are launching this first fundraising effort (including applying for grants) to fund start-up costs like rent, furniture, supplies, and student materials. We would love to have a space to call our own for classes and be able to offer full scholarships to students, specifically students whose families are native speakers but need some extra support in teaching the language to their children. Your donation will go towards funding these essential parts of our program. 

Since 2015, Kylie has been teaching Spanish classes to students in Pre-K through 5th grade through other education organizations and, most recently, on her own in her free time. She cares deeply about creating learning environments that are welcoming, supportive, safe, and interactive. She has over 15 years of experience learning and teaching languages in the U.S. and Latin America.
