YouthWorks Intern Sponsorship

Goal: $14,000
Funding Deadline: August 31, 2026
Giving Type: General Support

Project Description

Help shape the future workforce of Iowa.

YouthWorks helps high school students step confidently into the professional world before they even graduate. Through mentoring, training, and a nine-month paid internship, students discover their strengths, build real-world experience, and see new possibilities for their future.

For many of these students, it’s their first glimpse of a workplace that sees their potential—and their first paycheck earned doing something meaningful. But not every placement that could offer that experience has the resources to fund it. Small businesses, local nonprofits, and community organizations often want to host interns but simply can’t afford to.

That’s where you come in. By sponsoring a YouthWorks intern, you make it possible for a student to gain the experience and confidence that can set the course for a lifetime. Your support bridges the gap between potential and opportunity—between a young person’s dream and their first step toward it.

A $14,000 sponsorship fully funds one YouthWorks internship—from training to mentorship to paid work experience. We are looking to fund five students for a total of $70,000.
