Winter Sports Kick-Off: K-12 Athletes

This winter, Community Sports Movement invites our Greater Des Moines communities to come together and help local kids stay active and engaged in the sports they love.

For many Des Moines-area families, the cost of youth sports can add up quickly. Registration fees, equipment, uniforms, training, transportation, and other expenses can put organized sports out of reach. Yet for kids, sports are about so much more than a game. They create opportunities to build confidence, friendships, discipline, teamwork, healthy habits, and a sense of belonging.

Together, we can make sure more children in the Des Moines community have the opportunity to play, grow, belong, and thrive.
