Project Description

The One Economy Report shows persistent health disparities affecting Black Polk County residents. Safe drinking water is fundamental to family and community health, and every family deserves the resources to make informed choices. The African American Leadership Academy (AALA) is launching a community supported fund that provides reverse osmosis (RO) water filtration systems and replacement filters to Polk County families, beginning with an accessible RO system at a trusted community location.
