SILT's traveling library display will bring farmland conservation education directly to Iowans. This interactive pop-up exhibit will visit six public libraries across the Des Moines area, educating residents about sustainable farming, land preservation, and local food systems. The display will feature educational materials, interactive activities for all ages, and information about SILT's conservation work of protecting 1,200 acres of Iowa farmland. Visitors will learn how farmland preservation supports their local economy, environment, and food security. This grassroots outreach expands SILT's impact in Des Moines, connecting Iowans statewide to sustainable agriculture and inspiring the next generation of conservation-minded farmers and supporters.
