Hope to Shine Iowa is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to building strong connections between longtime Iowans and newcomers through language, leadership, and shared learning. Our programs foster belonging and equip immigrant and refugee women and their families with the tools to thrive — from English language learning and workforce readiness to civic engagement and cross-cultural exchange.

To expand this mission, we are launching the Mobile Classroom Project — an initiative that transforms a donated passenger bus into a traveling classroom and community hub.

This mobile classroom will bring high-quality English instruction, family activities, and resource awareness directly to neighborhoods, parks, and community gathering places across Central Iowa.
