Project Description
Oakridge Neighborhood is launching an Integrated Health Pilot Program to bring behavioral health services directly to the people and communities it serves. The initiative will connect more than 700 low-income residents in the Oakridge Neighborhood housing community, along with Oakridge clients throughout Central Iowa, with more accessible mental health care.
Through the program, licensed clinicians and navigators will provide onsite screenings, care coordination, and ongoing mental health support. Offering these services within the community will help reduce common barriers to care, including transportation and cost, while improving continuity of support.
The pilot will also help shift behavioral health care toward a more preventative approach and establish a sustainable service model supported by diversified funding streams. Donor support will help make consistent, accessible mental health services available to more individuals and families served by Oakridge.
