Project Description
Meals from the Heartland recently learned that two of our five rooftop HVAC units have severe cracks in their condensers, leaving them unable to heat our facility. These units help keep our packaging center comfortable and operational for the thousands of volunteers who serve with us throughout the year.
We recently replaced one rooftop unit using funds set aside specifically for facility needs. Unfortunately, rising costs have brought the price of each replacement unit to approximately $25,000, exhausting the funds we had available for these necessary upgrades.
Your support can help us replace these two HVAC units and keep our packaging center ready to welcome volunteers year-round. With a warm, safe space to serve, volunteers can continue packaging nutritious meals for children and families facing hunger in Iowa, across the United States and around the world.
