Project Description
For more than a decade, Can Do Cancer has lightened the load for chemotherapy patients and their families by providing treatment-day meal support, professional home cleaning assistance throughout care, and a trusted online resource hub offering guidance after diagnosis. At the heart of our model is our Patient Partner Program, where trained cancer survivors walk alongside current patients—providing consistent peer mentorship, motivation, shared strength, and the irreplaceable power of connection through lived experience.
And now, this mission is growing.
Through a grant from the Iowa Cancer Consortium and in partnership with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, we are expanding our support to include more cancer journeys, ensuring families navigating lung cancer, lymphoma, myeloma, OBGYN cancers, and head and neck cancers can access the same no-cost, door-delivered care that breast cancer patients have trusted for years.
But to fuel this next chapter?
We need our community.
This season of giving, your donation helps us keep saying yes—with action, dignity, and survivor-powered support:
- Yes to meal support for one more family on treatment days
- Yes to clean homes that create space for rest and healing
- Yes to survivor-led mentorship for one more patient and diagnosis
- Yes to removing the everyday burdens around chemo, so patients can focus on fighting cancer—not life's logistics
Because hope is strongest when it shows up at your door… and stays by your side.
