Project Description

Double Up Food Bucks is a health incentive program that allows SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) users to double their SNAP dollars, up to $15 a day, on purchases of fresh fruits and vegetables at participating grocery stores, co-ops, farmers markets, farm stands, and CSAs across Iowa. We help Iowan’s SNAP benefits go further by putting more healthy foods on the table for families across the state!

How It Works:

When a customer spends $15 in SNAP benefits at a participating site, they receive an additional $15 in free Double Up Food Bucks to purchase locally grown fruits and vegetables. This 1:1 match, available daily, increases access to nutritious food while boosting sales for Iowa farmers.

Your Impact:

Your $50 donation provides 61 servings of produce to a food insecure family or individual,  supports Iowa farmers, and remains in our communities to bolster local economies. Together, we can help Iowans access fresh, nutritious food while growing a sustainable local food system!
