Project Description

Believers Woodshack is an Iowa-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that partners with donors to provide free furniture for families in need, including those transitioning out of homelessness, refugees, and others facing crisis.

Many individuals and families begin a new chapter in life through the support of housing programs, refugee resettlement organizations, churches, and community agencies. Believers Woodshack works alongside those efforts by building and delivering essential furniture free of charge through trusted partner agency relationships.

From complete bed packages ready for the first night's sleep to tables, dressers, nightstands, and other essential furnishings, every piece is built to help provide stability, dignity, and hope for those rebuilding their lives.

During our 90-day pilot program, we built and delivered 9 pieces of furniture, furnished homes for 5 families and individuals, and served 12 people across Central Iowa. The pilot confirmed both the need for this work and the ability of our partner agencies to place every piece we build.

Support for this campaign helps fund Believers Woodshack's first year of impact, including furniture materials, bedding, mattresses, delivery costs, insurance, technology, and the operational resources needed to continue serving families across Iowa.
