Program: 4 p.m.
Reception: 5 p.m.

DonorConnect is a conversation series designed to bring our community together to learn about and discuss our region’s most pressing issues and promising opportunities.

A safe, stable place to call home is foundational to the well-being of individuals, families and our entire community.

Join us for a conversation about housing stability in Central Iowa and the work underway to help more of our neighbors find and remain in a place they can call home. Building on The Blueprint to Address Homelessness, we’ll explore what our community is learning, where progress is being made and what promising approaches are emerging as needs and funding realities evolve.

Together, we’ll look beyond the challenges to understand the momentum underway and how housing, supportive services and community collaboration can create greater stability and opportunity for our neighbors.

Hear from:

  • Emily Osweiler, Chief Executive Officer, Greater Des Moines Supportive Housing
  • Joe Stevens, President & CEO, Joppa
  • Annie Uetz, Director, Polk County Behavioral Health & Disability Services
You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how this work is taking shape, what challenges and opportunities remain and how, together, we can help create a community where more people have a place to call home.
