Community Foundation Welcomes Four New Members to Board of Directors

Marta Codina, Izaah Knox, Brad Schoenfelder and Cynthia Thorland have been named to the board of directors for the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines and will be beginning their terms January 1, 2020. The organization’s board was named among the top 10 most influential boards in Des Moines in the Business Record’s 2020 Book of Lists as its members carry out the Community Foundation’s mission of improving quality of life for all by promoting charitable giving, connecting donors with causes they care about and providing leadership on important community issues. 

“We are thrilled to welcome these strong community leaders to our board of directors,” said Kristi Knous, president of the Community Foundation. “All of them have a deep commitment to the work of the Community Foundation as they improve quality of life in Greater Des Moines, but each brings a unique perspective and community lens to our board.”
