Giving Tuesday - Semon Fund

Project Description

For Giving Tuesday 2025, we have a goal of raising $10,000 in support of the William J. Semon Family Resource Fund, a fund which directly and immediately impacts MercyOne Des Moines Cancer Center patients. The fund was established in 2011 by Linda Semon in memory of Dr. William J. Semon, a gastroenterologist at Iowa Digestive Disease Center. Dr. Semon served patients and families for over 25 years and passed away from pancreatic cancer. The William J. Semon Family Resource Fund supports cancer patients with the additional financial burdens and added expenses of cancer treatments, co-pays, travel, medication and nutritional supplements.
