This session is intended for nonprofit stakeholders looking to seek grant funding.

Writing great grant proposals and winning grants happens as a result of applying best practices and techniques that can be learned and mastered. Top Tips for Great Grant Seeking will teach the fundamental skills to find suitable grant opportunities, track and measure a grant seeking program, and write proposals that will get funded. Additionally, it will address emerging best practices around seeking operating support and ensuring equity through the grant seeking process. Whether participants have some experience or are completely new to grant seeking, this course will provide tools to help participants compete successfully in grant seeking.
After completing this session, participants will be able to:
· Find grant funding opportunities for grants that match their organization’s programs or activities
· Use multiple techniques to find a funder’s past giving history, contact information, grant submission process,
and submission deadlines
· Develop internal tracking mechanisms that include key performance indicators for their grant seeking program
· Write a proposal that is compelling, persuasive, and tailored to the grant maker
· Identify potential funders and make a case for operating support for their organization
· Elevate the voices of those served using concepts of equitable language in their grant proposals
