From a client-driven penny drive to corporate contributions, Link Associates is raising the funding needed to move from its warehouse location to a newer facility. This move allows Link Associates to better carry out its mission of providing over 1,200 people with mental disabilities in the Greater Des Moines area opportunities to achieve their personal goals. Across Link's spectrum of services, the new facility will allow service for up to 600 additional people each year.
"The Community Foundation's Leadership Grant provides extra dollars outside of our normal funding stream for more efficient operations in a newer facility. Having an opportunity to turn to the Community Foundation and be connected with the philanthropic community is incredibly important," said Linda Dunshee, executive director of Link Associates
