The Principal Charity Classic is a week unlike any other in Iowa. It attracts a strong field of professional players such as Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, Ray Floyd, Fuzzy Zoeller, Ben Crenshaw, Jay Haas, Tom Kite, Bruce Lietzke and Loren Roberts. Massive galleries file into Glen Oaks Country Club to lend a level of excitement that makes this tournament one of the finest stops on the Champions Tour.
Best of all, The Principal Charity Classic® serves as a catalyst in raising money for local nonprofit organizations supporting children. The following five outstanding organizations are dedicated to supporting children in the community and will receive the proceeds from the 2010 event:

Connecting Kids and Culture The Community Foundation and Bravo Greater Des Moines combine contributions from The Principal Charity Classic® to support Connecting Kids and Culture, which funds admission fees and transportation to educational experiences outside the classroom and provides opportunities for educators to bring local arts and cultural experiences into their schools while directly aligning community based-arts and cultural learning to core curriculum objectives.
