Each of us has a "LifeTown"- where we have spent a significant part of our lives, raised our families, pursued business careers and developed lasting friendships.
The Greater Des Moines Community Foundation's LifeTown Legacy® Society provides a way for us to give back to the community, which has been so important to us.
Creating a LifeTown Legacy® Gift allows you to direct your charitable dollars. The options include any combination of the following: discretionary funds that allow the Community Foundation to respond to emerging needs of Greater Des Moines and benefit the community at large, field of interest funds such as arts and culture, human services or the environment and designating a portion of your gift to your favorite charitable agencies.
Become a member of the LifeTown Legacy® Society by establishing a permanent endowment through any of the following planned giving options:
- Donor Advised Funds
- Gifts designated in your will or estate plan
- Gifts through your life insurance policy, IRA, 401 (k) plan, real estate, etc
- Charitable Gift Annuities
- Charitable Remainder Trusts
- Gifts through your life insurance, etc.
