The Greater Des Moines Community Foundation invites and encourages you to attend the upcoming workshop Crucial Conversations®, brought to us by Poertner Consulting Group. The Community Foundation is committed to supporting the success of the nonprofit sector in Greater Des Moines by offering technical assistance and training designed to help build your capacity. Crucial Conversations® is creating significant buzz in the business world and we are pleased to be able to partner with Poertner Consulting Group to make this training accessible and affordable for local nonprofit organizations.
About Crucial Conversations
In our daily lives we avoid certain conversations. At work, we send emails when we should talk in person. We change the subject when an issue gets too risky. Mastering these conversations is key to supporting high performance in organizations and improving relationships. Managers who can't talk honestly with the right people about the right issues can expect poor results. This opportunity to learn and apply the skills of Crucial Conversations® will drive rapid and sustainable change, get stalled change initiatives back on track, and turn good individuals and teams into key contributors.
Every team and every organization has problems. The difference between the good and the best is not how many problems they have, but how they candidly discuss and resolve them. Join us for Crucial Conversations® March 6th, 13th, 27th and April 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the United Way of Central Iowa Campus for this professional development opportunity.
The Community Foundation is able to offer this 16 hour, 4 half-day, course for a significantly reduced cost of $400. Note: The Crucial Conversations® workshops are normally offered throughout the US to non-profit organizations at a cost of $895. Enrollment is limited to the first 30 participants, so please return the enclosed registration form as soon as possible.
