Michelle and Patrick Rounds recently evaluated their charitable giving strategy in much the same way one might plan other long-term financial commitments, such as children’s education or retirement, and developed a fund with the Community Foundation.

“Michelle and I wanted to establish funding for the future of Children & Families of Iowa, rather than just making an annual donation. The Children & Families of Iowa Endowment allows us to make a long-term financial difference. Giving through the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation allows us to create a strong financial base for CFI's future while utilizing the 20% Endow Iowa tax credit in addition to state and federal tax benefits.  In effect, this program has allowed us to give more to our chosen charity.”
