Life-long Des Moines area residents Theresa Wahlig, M.D. and Mark Feldmann recently established a donor advised fund with the Community Foundation in order to

maximize the effectiveness of their charitable dollars.

"Teri and I feel strongly about the potential Des Moines offers, but we are also aware of the many challenges to sustaining and improving the community. We decided to establish a fund with the Community Foundation because of their professionalism and breadth of knowledge. When we contribute, we know the dollars will be wisely and effectively used. The Community Foundation serves as a bridge between charity and philanthropists."
