Technical Assistance Mini-Grant
The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines is a donor-driven public foundation whose purpose is to improve the quality of life in Greater Des Moines through philanthropy.
The Community Foundation works to improve the quality of life for all by connecting donors with their passions, fostering links between community organizations and convening local leaders to advance the common good. Increasing our community's connectedness includes building trust, civility, volunteerism and encouraging informal socializing and civic engagement.
Making community connections builds on our remarkable tendency to reach out to one another and lend a hand to those in need...we're simply better together.
The Community Foundation makes grants for technical assistance and consultation to help improve the capacity and management of nonprofit organizations. This funding enables nonprofit organizations to strengthen the Board of Directors and governance of the organization, strategically plan for the future, provide staff training, streamline operations - while continuing to focus on fulfilling their missions.
The Community Foundation will temporarily consider funding for hiring of a consultant or grant writer to assist in applying for funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). This funding should not be used for existing development or grantwriting positions.
:
Grant requests of up to $2,500 will be considered.
